I read somewhere a long time ago that drinking a glass of orange juice in the morning, while healthy and all that fun stuff, is not necessarily a great idea. Something about the sugars in the oranges, combined with the sugars added into the juice, I don’t know, but its supposed to produce a crash around a few hours later.
Well this morning I decided to ignore that advice. On my way I into work I got some orange juice after deciding I was not interested in the high fructose corn cranberry juice and chugged it on my way to work and finished it off at my desk.
And now I can’t keep my eyes open. I just want to lean my chair back, hide behind my monitor and take a nice, comfortable nap. I actually fell asleep at a decent time for me last night and slept in late again on purpose because my body would not cooperate.
Topping that off with the slumber-inducing orange juice has not made my morning any better.
